When I go into somebody's house for the first time I usually make straight for the bookshelves, not only because I love books but also because it is an excellent way to learn about somebody and their interests. On a website, I tend to think of the links page (which most good websites, and many bad ones, have in some form or another) as the equivalent to a bookshelf.

In recent years, I've taken to using the social bookmarking site del.icio.us for keeping track of links to sites that interest me. As well as enabling me to access my bookmarks from any computer with a web connection, it means I can easily share links with friends and family members as well as explore other links people have posted on similar (or completely different) subjects. The site uses a tagging system for describing and exploring bookmarks).

Rather than try to maintain a separate collection of links here, which would inevitably end up fairly small and quite out-of-date, here are some links to various sections of my del.icio.us bookmarks:

Perhaps you'll find them interesting for understanding more about me. It's also possible that you might find a few of them useful. If you find any broken links there (or elsewhere on M-Space), or have other links you think I may enjoy, please let me know.
